IIMPACT-CT, a newly formed non-profit joins Stamford’s PAL and the Ferguson Library’s new satellite branch at the former Chester Addison Community Center on the city’s West Side.
With a mission to serve and be a change agent in Connecticut by providing food, support and resources to men, women, and children in need, IIMPACT-CT strives to improve the quality of life for Connecticut’s underserved community while empowering the youth through education and mentorship.
William Bryant, Co-founder and Senior Director of IIMPACT-CT shared “We’re exceptionally proud to be able to support our community. It’s often hard to imagine how right here in Connecticut’s Gold Coast more than 10% of Fairfield County residents face food insecurity, and at least one child of every five is hungry or at risk of hunger.
“Our Black and Hispanic populations are most acutely affected and twice as prone as whites to be “food insecure,” lacking reliable access to enough nutritious food for to live an active, healthy life.
“We’re anxious to begin providing food, support and resources to men, women, and children in Lower Fairfield County and across Connecticut by working to improve the lives of those less fortunate.”
